Blood Pressure Medication In Homeopathy 

There are two types of pressures exerted by the blood in the blood vessel, i.e. , systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure (when the heart is at its maximum contraction) is recorded first and then diastolic pressure (when the left ventricle is in a state of relaxation) is noted. The essential blood pressure of a man is said to be the normal blood pressure, it is recorded as normal one when systolic pressure is 120 mm volume of mercury and diastolic pressure is 80 mm volume of mercury. It is written as 120/80 mm volume of mercury. 90 + age is generally said to be the normal blood pressure with a difference of 50 or 60 between systolic and diastolic blood pressure. For example, a man of 40 years should have the normal blood pressure (0 + 40 = 130 mm volume of mercury systolic and 130-50 = 80 mm diastolic. It is noted as 130/80. B.P.  of 150/90 is also said to be the normal blood pressure in some cases. If the systolic pressure is raised up then diastolic pressure is also raised up ie., 130/80 may be raised to 200/130 or above which causes brain hemorrhage with unconsciousness and finally death. The normal systolic pressure may be 110-130 and diastolic pressure 76-86. It is always written in even numbers, because the marks on mercury tube of the blood measuring instrument are recorded in even numbers.

 Causes of High Blood Pressure

 1. Physical efforts, stress and strain, emotional factors i.e. , anger, irritability, nervous temperament, etc;

 2. Excessive intake of alcoholic drinks, fats, fried seasoned and spiced food;

 3. Excessive intake of dried fruits - that cause arterio-sclerosis, and are responsible for high blood pressure;

 4. Renal infections, interstitial nephritis (inflammation of the internal structure oft he nephron in the kidney);

 5. Endocrine secretion - i.e. , excessive secretion by endocrine glands which is called as Internal secretion or hormone- that passes into blood for general metabolic changes in the body for example developing arterio-sclerosis-thickening of arteries. See arterio -sclerosis.

 6. Mechanical or toxic causes- as in toxaemia in pregnancy.

SYMPTOMS OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE                                        

 Constant dull headache, sometimes severe violent bursting throbbing headache with vertigo, blurred vision, heavy feelig in eyes head and limbs, burning heat in eyes, cheeks, head, vertex and red hot face, dyspnoea while Walking a little, loss of memory with basic rise in blood pressure from 150/90 to 200/130 mm vol. of mercury.

Treatment 

 1. FP6x, CP3x, KM3x, NP3x, NS3x

 3-4 grains dose in hot water, in high blood pressure with heavy head, scanty urine, burning heat at vertex, red hot face, eyes, headache pain in eyes and vertigo-be given in alternation with any indicated homoeo medicine..

 2. Crataegus. Q + Passillora + Rauwolfia.(1: 1: 1)

 10- 15 drops dose in cold water after every 2-4 hours in alternation with above biochemic salts or with any indicated homoeo medicine. It is the best combination to be given in high blood pressure with chronic headache, heavy head, pressure in eyes and chest, dizziness vertigo, scanty urine, disturbed sleep, with anxiety, nervousness or nervous prostration - and patient needs quietude i.e. , calm and quiet environment, it is a tranquilisers in H.B. P. after emotional excitement, i.e. , anger, irritation after little opposition to his or her saying. It is a good seditive nerves' tonic, tranquilliser and reducer of H.B. P. It induces sound sleep (a homoeo compose) in the patient having H.B. P. or mental tension.

 3. Alfalfa Q + Crataegus Q + passillora. Q (1:1:1)         

 also works well when combination No. 2 as stated above is not available.

 4. Alfalfa Q + Avena Q (1:1)

 10 drops dose in cold water after every 15-30 minutes in cases of headache due to H.B. P. or hypertension - due to gastric distension, wind in stomach, abdomen, with dull headache, nervous headache, burning headache, at the vertex and occipital area dulness, drowsiness, dizziness, vertigo or violent throbbing, bursting headache, heaviness of eyes, scanty urination, kidneys not functioning properly.

 5. Aurum met. 6, 30

In H.B. P. with irregular feeble week but rapid pulse, sinking or palpitation of heart with sensation as if heart has stopped beating-compels the patient to remain or standstill. High blood pressure in old men with old age weakness, heaviness, of head and chest - due to rush of blood. High blood pressure with despodency (dejected, frustrated) and suicidal tendency. H.B. P. worse after anger, emotional disturbacnes with throbbing of carotids (carotid arteries- principal arteries on each side of the neck).

 6. Arum Mur 30 

In H.B. P. worse after emotional disturbances, anger, nervous irritation, frustration in love, disappointment. over sensitiveness, roaring in head and ears, despodent and suicidal tendency, pain in bones of the head due to frontal sinus-nose affections.

 7. Baryta Carb 30 

In H.B. P. with palpitation of heart, irregular pulse, especially in old people having gouty compalints or in those people who are addicted to alcoholic drinks, with noises in head, ears, loss of memory, paralysis or paretic weakness, trembling of legs and constipation. H.B. P. in fleshy, scrofulous people with loading of mucus in chest, suffocative cough, short breathing, cold hands and feet. Blood pressure become normal when there is copious urination.

 8. Baryta mur 6, 30 

In cases of H.B. P. and arteriosclerosis with atrophy of muscles, atrophy of lower legs, thighs, much thirst, dry tongue and general muscular weakness in scrofulous persons. In chronic bronchial affections of old people, rattling and accumulation of mucus in the chest especially with high blood pressure (H.B. P). It helps in easy expectoration of thick mucus from the chest. High blood pressure with high systolic pressure.

 9. belladonna 6, 30

 In H.B. P, with hrobbing headache, throbbing pains all over the body, violent palpitation, roaring sound in head and cars, rush of blood to the head, red hot face, red eyes, swollen eye-lids, vertigo with tendency to fall left side or back side. H.B. P. after emotional disturbance anger, nerves iritation and excitement, patient is having aggravation in noises, after motion and from jars.

 10. Glonoine 6, 30

 In acute cases of H.B. P. with vertigo flushing red face, violent throbbing bursting headache, great congestion, heaviness in head and chest, oppression in chest due to rush of blood to the head and heart with fainting spells. Patient holds head with hands, visible beating of carotid and temporal arteries, pain in the heart region with laborious action, fluttering and palpitation of heart, intermittent pulse, trembling of legs and dyspnoea while going up stairs, black spots before eyes with dizziness, constipation and itching piles. H.B. P., after nervous irritations, after anger and emotional excitement -cannot bear slight opposition or domination over her/his saying. Be given after every 10-15, 30 minutes till blood pressure is reduced.

 11. Lachesis 30 

It is the head remedy for curing new cases of high blood pressure, with heaviness of head, weight on vertex is felt during each step of walking. Patient sleeps into aggravation, wakes up in aggravation i.e. , he is in trouble before sleep and after sleep. Lachesis is a warm blooded patient with hot burning at vertex, burning of hands and feet, worse in hot weather, in hot sun, by hot drinks and exertion in hot days- cause rush of blood to head with constant weakness and debility. 

 12. Ignatia 30 

In cases of H.B. P, worse after emotional excitement, tension and frustration, disappointment in love, grief. Hypertension after sleeplessness, shocks and continuous weeping in death of a relation. Patient is having loss of appetite, constipation, weakness, tireness especially in exhausted ladies. H.B. P, in coffee drinkers. Be used in 30 or 200 potency, according to the need. 

 13. Plumbum met 6, 30 

In cases of hypertension, arteriosclerosis associated with constipation, nephritis, interstitial nephritis, suppression of or scanty urine with albuminuria. Drooping of lids muscular atrophy, paralysis or weakness, blindness due to acute nephritis dropsical swelling with anaemia.

 14. Veratrum Varide. 6X, 30 

In cases of hypertension with hyperaemia, congestion of blood in head with flushed red face, pulse full hard like iron rod-due to congestion of blood. Hot head, blood shot eyes, thick speech after rushing of blood to head, congestion in chest with nausea and vomiting, scanty urine. It helps in the reduction or fall of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. It bears repetition well.
